Cheney v. Nigeria

I was going through articles on CNN and I came across this particular one. Apparently Nigeria has filed charges against former V.P. Dick Cheney for paying bribes in the 1990s. Observers say that this is simply a publicity stunt. Still it shouldn't be a surprise really.

"The investigation is part of a long-running case involving Halliburton and a subsidiary firm, Kellogg, Brown and Root, over alleged bribes paid to Nigerian officials to secure $6 billion worth of contracts for a liquefied natural gas project in the Niger Delta."

You know the old saying: A picture is worth a thousand words.

  1. This reminded me of the movie Shooter. The idea that government officials are paying off people and decimating entire villages in third world nations. A very interesting connection. If people want to take a closer look, here is the link for that film.
